Music Promotion Integrity Alliance

Our mission: Fight streaming fraud. How? Independently vet and identify ethical music promotion options.

The Music Promotion Integrity Alliance (MPIA) is a non-profit organization made to raise the standard for ethical music promotion. We exist to combat the rise of fraudulent streams, which harm artists and the industry at large.

We represent a united push to define and uphold a shared code of conduct that enforces legitimate music promotion. Our goal is to bring transparency, credibility, and oversight to a part of the industry that has long lacked clear standards.

The MPIA serves as a resource for identifying legitimate, ethical music promotion practices that align with the compliance standards of music distributors, rights holders, and digital service providers.

Through collaboration, vetting, verification, and public accountability, the MPIA works to protect artists, uphold industry integrity, and build a future where honest music promotion can thrive.

Building a Better Music Industry For All.

Artists will invest into promoting their music — that’s a given. It’s a core part of building a career, reaching new audiences, and growing visibility in an overcrowded market.

But today, this need exists in a space that remains largely unregulated, leaving artists vulnerable to fraudulent streams and non-compliant services that can result in takedowns or long-term harm.

The Music Promotion Integrity Alliance (MPIA) exists to raise the standard. We believe artists deserve access to legitimate, ethical promotion options they can trust — options that won’t jeopardize their music or standing with distributors and DSPs.

By defining what ethical promotion looks like and verifying those who meet that standard, the MPIA is creating a safer, more transparent ecosystem for music promotion — one where artists can grow without fear.
